New Fabric Withstands 1,200^\circ\text{C}: China's Firefighting Breakthrough

A Chinese company developed a specialized nanomembrane fabric that can endure extreme temperatures up to 1,200^\circ\text{C} (\sim2,192^\circ\text{F}) without melting, shrinking, or deforming, with a primary application being in protective gear for firefighters dealing with high-heat incidents like lithium-ion battery fires.
