Angelina Jolie and The Bees: The True Story Behind Her Photoshoot

For a 2021 National Geographic photoshoot, Angelina Jolie did not bathe for three days to avoid washing off a specific scent that could agitate the bees. She also had to stay perfectly still for 18 minutes while a swarm of live bees crawled over her body. She did this to raise awareness about bee conservation.
